In ISM this week, I first began by drafting my display board plan. This involved arranging my board in a color-coordinated manner that highlighted the work I have done in ISM. I also had to brainstorm ideas for what replaceable components I should put on my display board until my final product is done. I decided to include information on Project Prakash and pictures of common pediatric ophthalmology encounters. I look forward to putting this board together in the coming week. Additionally, I conducted further research on continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis, which advanced my knowledge of the technique through discussion of viscoelastic. I also devoted much of my time this week to prepare for the speech I had today. I delivered a speech centered around my original work and a reflection of my entire ISM journey thus far. Through repetition and gaining a thorough understanding of the topics I was discussing, I was able to deliver a smooth presentation. I believe I did well in speaker skills in general of projecting and transitioning. I could still work on certain aspects like pacing, as I may tend to talk faster than anticipated when presenting. Overall, I am happy with the work I accomplished this week and hope to make great progress in my display board and final product research in the coming week.
